CSI changes
I recently bought all of season one on DVD and watched it straight through on my two days off last week. And I've noticed so many things that I just wanted to get everyone's opinion.
*Grissom hardly makes those cute funny faces anymore. In season one he stuck out his tongue, did cheesy head bobs to Greg's music, and had the best facial expressions. Now he's more neutral, and way more serious.
*Greg's changed a lot. I think a really big part of it was his wanting to move up from DNA to CSI, which would probably require him to be a bit more serious. But we said goodbye to the goofy hair, crazy
t-shirts, and off the wall remarks. Except for two weeks ago when he had that whole skidmarks comment.
*Catherine's always been emotional and passionate about what she believes in. She's quick to speak without thinking, but she's also quick on her feet. But what happened to that hardcore attitude from season one when she was talking about king kong on cocaine and loved getting the exciting cases? I'm not saying she's boring now, but I think that Lindsay's sucking the life out of the poor woman. And it doesn't help that whenever there's a case about a kid close to Lindsay's age, Catherine gets that look on her face like 'that could have been my daughter'. It was interesting back before Lindsay was a juvinielle delinquent.
*Nick...oh Nick. I think he kind of has the right to be the most changed. In season one he'd only been accused of killing a hooker, right? (That was season one right? One or two) But after that it was alllll downhill for that boy. Crazy people waving guns in his face, a stalker, being buried alive...could we just leave this poor boy alone? And if all of those things weren't traumatic enough, now he's got that
moustache. I think Nick's like the Scully of CSI. He was a little too trusting, and a little too naive, but man as those seasons chug along and he gets personally involved a few more times, he slowly comes to realize that this stuff isn't going to go away any time soon.
*Sara, who I have to admit seems the less changed, doesn't do much for me as a character. It's good to see that she's toned down the obvious 'I want Grissom' vibes. I'm not slamming GSR because really, if that's what floats your boat go for it. It's just good to see that if something's going to happen, it will, and it won't be because Sara tried to talk Gil into it. (For all intents and purposes, I'm not a huge shipper of anyone. They all do their own thing very well, I think.)
*Warrick ran out and got married at the spur of the moment. I have to say...that was a shocker. But for someone who used to gamble, is it really that big of a risk? I know that for everyone who's a yo!blinger
the situation really, really sucks, but maybe we should give poor Tina a chance. And who knows? Maybe she won't stick around all that long anyway.
This isn't everything that I've noticed, just the obvious character stuff. And while I'm here, I want to pimp a new community. It's called
inside_tv_info. They do recaps of CSI, CSI:Miami and a few
other shows. There's also reviews, spoilers, and predictions for what could happen. It's updated every Thursday before CSI. So in other words, this Thursday will be the review and recap for "A Bullet Runs
Through it Part 2".

But yes, it doesn't account for the huge change. And I think, despite any complications, a hug was warranted at a moment like that. She was so freaked out I don't think she would have thought anything of it. Like when the lab blew up and he called her "honey", she didn't even notice.
