So, was I the only one who saw the parallels in the beginning of the episode? You know....the victim was an adult who chose to act like a baby.....Catherine is an adult who chooses to act like a baby.....maybe it was just me? :-p
Honestly, are they trying to make her unlikable? I could understand her feeling pushed aside, but let's suck it up and act like....well, an adult. For one thing, it's not like Gil was sitting around going "Hmm...I'm bored tonight, think I'll go jump in the middle of Catherine's case." Ecklie put him in there. They needed all the help they can get. So maybe Catherine can stop pouting for two seconds and focus on that.
I thought her behavior towards Sofia, especially, was lousy. I know lots of people can't stand her, but all she did was try to explain something. I personally don't feel she did so in a nasty or snotty manner.
And yes.....I kind of laughed when her pictures went missing. What? She was annoying me.
But in order to say something nice....she looked great in that shade of blue she was eventually wearing. And at least she realized, at the end, that she could have behaved better than she did.
All Cath-rants aside....I enjoyed this episode. Last week, I wasn't interested enough in the bear case to get past how weird it started out. But this week, I didn't care how freaky the story was.....it kept me interested.
Other things I loved about this episode: Nick and Gil visiting the Forever Baby store - the facial expressions when the woman asked if Gil was Nick's "daddy"! Heh. Hodges and Nick exchanging information. And of course, "I even missed your tush." LOL.

Date: 2005-02-18 02:57 pm (UTC)It was a good episode. I have to admit, I have always liked Catherine but she is really changing ever since her promotion. I wonder if it will end up being that she's bitter because she wanted days and really, swing is worse than nights so maybe she's just taking it out on everyone else. I just hope they start shifting her back to her usual self because I miss the old Catherine.
And I can't help it - I like Sofia. I didn't at first, as a knee-jerk reaction but she's been a damn good CSI from the beginning and I can't help but like her.
