Nitpick

I know people have been sad about alleged fans criticising the show, but I thought I'd bring up something little that has always bothered me - not so much to commplain, but more to either confirm my suspicions or prove the show right (through your comments, which I hope will come in).

When the CSIs go over a surveillence tape, they always manage to zoom in to the tiniest little thing in the distance. Eg. in Chaos Theory where they zoom in to see a specific parking permit hanging from the rear view mirror or a silver volvo in the distance. You even get to see all the text/university logo on the permit clearly and everything.

Now, do they have some sort of magic enhancement software that can rebuff anything, or what? I was always under the impression that there's no way those cameras filmed anything in that much detail, and if you tried to zoom in to things way in the distance, all you'd get would be blocky pixels that you'd barely be able to interpret into anything, let alone clearly legible text, y'know?

I hate to nitpick, but I've really been wondering this for a while. Things like this by no means diminish my immense enjoyment of the show, I just tend to seek clarification on my wonderings, that's all. Hehe.
