Important mod post

With the arrival of a new season, comes a new mod post. And there is one huge change that is taking place that all icon makers should take note of.
It has come to our attention through various emails, that
csicons is a CSI community just for icons. This community was originally created for discussion of CSI and its siblings. When the fan base was still small, the occasional icon post was fine, but it seems now that the same icons everyone sees at
csicons are being posted here too. It's a bit redundant, at least in our eyes. So, from this moment forward, icon posts will no longer be accepted in this community. If you are an icon maker, we highly suggest you post at
csicons, and if you are an appreciative fan of CSI icons, we suggest you friend the aforementioned community. You may of course, leave a comment as to why you think this is either a good idea or a bad idea, however we are pretty settled in this decision.
We would also like to take this opportunity to remind you of the procedure for posting after a new episode airs. If you are new to the community, this may be beneficial to you. When a new episode is scheduled to air, one of the mods will create a discussion post. All comments, musings, thoughts, and/or ideas about the current episode should be done in said discussion post. No posts regarding the current episode will be accepted until the Saturday after a new episode. After that, all posts containing spoilers should be placed behind an LJ-cut. There are people in other countries who will not get to see the episode until much later, and more people who don't have the opportunity to watch 'live'. So we ask that you please respect everyone in that regard, and when posting a question, assume that not everyone has seen what you have.
There is a lot going on this season with certain characters and actors/actresses. In that regard, blatant flaming of any character will not be tolerated. That's wank, and wank is dumb, and therefore will not be put up with.
Posts are moderated here for a reason, so if you try to post and it gets rejected, check the user info to make sure all guidelines are being followed. We aren't trying to make your lives difficult, and really, there's nothing too hard about this. No icons, and no spoilers. That's pretty simple, right?
As mentioned before, feel free to leave a comment, or email one of the mods. Their contact information is located within the user info.
I hope that everyone can and will enjoy the new season.
