Hello, everyone!
I just wanted to introduce myself formally, even though I know most of you who are long time members of the community have probably seen me lurking around. My name is Brittany, and I am a new co-mod;
mariann being our chief-of-staff. :)
There are just a few things that we would like to clear up, and a new thing that should be addressed. Just remember when you read, that certain guidelines are in place to make sure that people who want to be spoiler free stay spoiler free, while the rest of us can still have fun and post about episodes while squeeing over GSR, yo!bling, or whatever your particular squee-worthy material might be.
- On Thursdays, from the day the new episode airs until Saturday, the community will be on moderation. There will be one post for people to comment in regarding the new episode. I know the community has been on moderation for a while now, but about 48 hours should be plenty of time for people to get all of their thoughts after seeing the new episode into one post. When the community comes off of moderation, however, LJ cuts must still be used for potentially spoiler-like posts.
- Regarding the ever popular 'when is a spoiler no longer a spoiler' question...The best answer that I can give is that we have many people in different countries who aren't even on season seven yet. So here's the deal. And if this is confusing, please let me know so that I can explain it a different way. Right now, anything from seasons 1-5 is fair game. No spoiler cut necessary. But season six questions, musings, and general ramblings should still go behind a cut. We realize that some of you think this is a hassle, but try to put yourself in the other person's shoes. They still have every right to enjoy the community, just like you do. So all we ask is that you are considerate. So, just to clarify; anything from seasons 1-5 is completely fair game. No spoiler cut necessary. But for seasons 6 and 7, please use LJ cuts for a spoiler-esque statement.
- There are changes now, to icon posts. From now on, for two days after a new episode airs, do not post any teasers in your icon posts with icons from the newest episode. They could have potential spoilers and even if you think your icons from the episode don't give anything away - it's best to not do it. TO CLARIFY: General icons from random episodes: Yes to teasers. Icons from the episode that just aired on Thursday: NO TEASERS until Saturday. Icon posts that don't follow this will more than likely be rejected with a note telling you to re-submit after putting the new episode icons under a cut.
- As always, all teaser icons should be of CSI and not another fandom.
Thank you to everyone who is a member of the community! We appreciate you, and we hope that you will continue to be members of the community for a long, long time. If you have any questions, please comment to this post or e-mail me at msbrittanydawn@gmail.com
