Most CSI ship names are pretty cool and well thought up; Snickers, Sandle, YoBling [though I feel the reasoning is rather lame, the name is cool] and GSR.

But Grillows? I mean, really. I fervently ship Cath/Gil and I refer to myself as a 'Cath/Gil shipper' never as a Grillows shipper. I get that it's a surname amalglamation but who really wants to make your OTP sound like something you cook on?

Surely there could have been something smarter.

ETA: Er. Now that I'm watching it again. Was it the security guard who said it? because in that case it makes perfect sense. Haha. *headdesk*

To moderate or not to moderate... I'd love a good solution, but I keep hitting the wall each time I try something new. When moderation is on and posts are delayed, there are complains. When moderation is off and posts are repeated, there are complaints. Can't seem to win on this one!

I'm open to some discussion here. I'm happy to consider one post every Thursday for when a new CSI airs, but since I no longer get to see CSI (damn Tivo season pass conflict) I can't moderate it without being excessively spoiled. I've added -- at least I think -- eight or ten new moderators so I could shift us back into that mode of posting again, too. Are there other ideas used by other communities?

So what are your thoughts? Let's have some good discussion here -- no flames, please!

Okay, I'm all for people having the freedom to post their own stuff in this community, but seriously there have been like 209874986376 different posts in the past 24hrs saying "Omg, Grissom moved on the diner pic! Omg the casino disappeared!"

Having that many posts doing nothing but sharing the exact same news in one day (not even generally with a personal spin on it that could warrant a unique post) is kinda silly, don't you think?

I'm not a moderator, so obviously y'all don't have to do what I say (lol) but I'd like to think I'm not the only one who feels this way, and would rather people checked back with some of the more recent posts in the community, just so we're not sharing news all of us already know.

i hear all these people talking about shippers/shipping/ships, slash/slashing/slashers and canon/fanon....can someone define these terms for me. i have a vague idea of what they are, i just need clarification. also, the "pairings" and their terms....what are they?
