Our remote control to our combo TV/VCR was lost during an election party last year. (I'm guessing someone accidentally walked off with it in their stuff and was too embarrassed to bring it back)

This means that I cannot set the VCR timer to record anything. Consequently, I have only seen two new CSIs this season! Damn my work schedule!

Oh, and those replacement "universal" remotes? Not universal!
