I thought it would be a good idea to toss this up in the post queue, though I have commented on the two posts before I posted this since two people put up stuff about season 1, one of which wasn't labeled as a spoiler, so I read it before I realized what it was. Oops for me.

Please, I'm not mad at the posters, they didn't know; but do cut early-in-the-series spoilers. I'm a new viewer and they just ran the very first pilot episode on Spike literally the other day (so far I've just been mostly ignorant of the story arc but eps do work self-contained, mostly) and I have my Tivo recording them all from every channel (the new stuff and the reruns all) and watching in the order stuff comes in. I know a few things that happen late in the show that are major, but not the earlier part of the story arc.

I should have mentioned how little I've really seen in my first community post, which makes it look like I know more of the arc than I do. I don't know how many other people out there are like me and are in catchup mode, but with Spike apparently starting the show over from the "top", it's something to watch out for.

(edit: If it's a big deal to cut older stuff ... can we clarify the community rule on it? It just seems like I'm just making the same request the info does, and it doesn't take long at all to add a cut tag when posting; I did it when I posted something old. Newcomers should be able to not worry and be welcomed just the same as people who've seen everything. I don't think sneering at the newcomers for wanting fairness is, well, fair.)

You don't have to do spoiler cuts for season 1, do you? Anyway, if you don't - ignore this. If you do - I warn you now, there are spoilers below:

I was re-watching 'Boom' from season 1 (sidenote: although when Jack is telling O'Reilly about Nick killing Kristy, it's really sad to see him all violent - he looks SO HOT WITH HIS SHIRT OFF...mmmm)

*ahem* Anyway, the point of my post: Catherine goes into the autopsy room to see Kristy's body, and Al is in there. He goes "Can I help you, Catherine?" and she says "I'm just here to see the body, David."

David? He's not David. David isn't even in the room, nor had she just been talking to him (unless they cut it in the edit suite)! I'm confused.

Oh and also, on my DVDs, for some reason 'I-15 Murders' is down as episode 102. I mean, all the episodes are in the right order - on the DVD it goes Pilot, Cool Change, Crate and Burial then so on and so forth, but the numbers they are given - Cool Change is down as 103 and I-15 Murders is on the 3rd (?) disk inbetween 110 and 111 (or maybe 111 and 112) as 102. I thought it might be just an error in the disk programming, but that's how it's printed on the face of the disk, too.

Weird.

i've noticed recently many ppl have been complaining about how eric hasnt been getting enough air time for season six.

i just want to comment a few things about this. first off, lets throw in a disclaimer... dont get me wrong. i ♥ greg. i've always seen him as the comedy relief of CSI when everything else was serious and dark. and i'm not here to make anyone upset, but to see what i see...

so with that done... on with my two cents... i think that a lot of ppl are blinded by the fact of how eric got less air time than some ppl who arent even in the singing credits... and yes, i have to agree with you... characters like archie, hodges and even ecklie seemed to be getting more air time than greg... for this season.

BUT you failed to realized that for the past five years there have been a number of times where characters that's been part of the singing credits since the beginning, that's part of the original team do not get any air time at all.

let me ask you this... does anyone remember other ep where catherine, sara, nick or warrick didnt show up? and if so, did a lot of ppl complain about it? i can tell you, there are at least a hand full of eps where at least one of those character didnt have ANY airtime at all.

for example, off the top of my head... the ep, Jackpot comes in mind... that was a Grissom ep, for anyone that's seen it, they would agree. let me ask the people that are complaining, do you even remember seeing characters like warrick or nick in that ep? they've been in the singing credit since the Pilot ep... yet i do not remember anyone complaining about that. in fact i remember praises on what a great ep it is.

where did that mentality go? when it's more about the CSI ep and less of the "argh where's eric?!" how about we make these CSI community more of praising and less complaining? sometimes... the ep just doesnt need some characters.... just be glad he actually got some air time.

and to make things better... it's only the third ep of season six :P

I don't think this has been mentionned yet but episode 6.03 - Bite Me is based on a real murder case! I don't know how famous the case was in The US but I recently saw a documentary about it. I think the man's name was Petersen and he was found guilty of killing his wife with a spear thingy (you know, the thing you use when you make a fire at your house). He was American but used to live in Germany where his first wife died of a stroke and thus fell off the stairs. Then his second wife was found dead on the bottom of the stairs. They changed a few things for the episode but a lot of it was accurate. I guess the writers also saw the documentary.

You know how in 1x09 'Unfriendly Skies' how Brass says "I was boss of CSI once - for a reason"? Well, obviously he was demoted back to homicide when Holly died much earlier in the season. Now, before his demotion, Gil greeted Holly saying "Hi, I'm Gil Grissom (or something to that effect) I'll be your supervisor on nights". So unless he just meant he'd be looking after her for the while - that meant he was already grave shift sup.

So what'd that make Brass? Did he have Ecklie's job, or was he the ultimate lab director (as you know, Ecklie's only the assistant).

And when Brass was demoted and Grissom took his place "for now" - when was he replaced, and by whom? Was this illustrated in the text (on screen)?

Just want to be clear :)
