Actor Wallace Langham (David Hodges) has been recently hired as a regular cast member on CSI.
According to the Hollywood Reporter Wallace Langham, who first appeared on the show in the episode "Recipe For Murder", will be joining the regular cast of CSI. Langham plays the lab's grumpy technician David Hodges, whose role was already slightly expanded this season due to colleague Greg Sanders's promotion to CSI status. The actor has appeared in 24 episodes so far.
Wallace Langham is not an unknown face in the television world. His credits range from comedy to drama, with guest appearances in television shows such as Sex and the City and very recently NBC's Medium. But fans may mostly remember him for his comedic starring roles in the now long gone Veronica's Closet, The Larry Sanders Show, and What About Joan, among others.
This is not the first time CSI has granted regular cast status to an actor with a recurring role. After two seasons of on again/off again appearances, both Eric Szmanda (Greg Sanders) and Robert David Hall (Dr. Al Robbins) were given star billing in season 3's opener, "Revenge is Best Served Cold." On CSI: Miami, actors Sofia Milos (Yelina Salas) and Jonathan Togo (Ryan Wolfe) were promoted to regular cast member status this season after their roles were credited as recurrent first.
It is not yet known when Langham will be added to the opening credits. For the original article, visit the Hollywood Reporter. Thanks to Al Forno for this!

Fanfic question

Can anyone tell me where the biggest archives for CSI fanfic are? I am a big Grissom fan, so archives for fanfic on him would be great too. Thanks! :)

Um, I don't think this warrants a cut, because it's not really a spoiler.
So, can I just ask (if someone hasn't already), did anyone else notice how hilariously fake that "Kodiak Bear" looked? I mean, I realise it's difficult to reconstruct animals. But that thing just looked like an oversized teddy bear.
On any other show- one that's just starting out, say -I'd be able to turn my head right round the other way, Exorcist style. On CSI though, it just seemed so... "guh?", because surely the producers have a big enough budget that they could at least try to make the thing look real. I mean, what does it take? Some cardboard and a little fur?
Yarr... I don't mean to sound nit-picky, because I'm not actually like that... I just thought it was funny, is all.

Sofia Curtis and Grissom

Now, don't kill me, anyone, but I like the kind of dynamic Sofia presents in CSI. I thought it was a stroke of genius on the part of CBS executives to play the episode where Sofia is introduced (the one with the homecoming dance and the twisted kidnapping plot) before "UnBearable". I personally would have never understood the underlying chemistry between Sofia and Grissom if it weren't for that episode that aired at 8.
That being said, hasn't Greg had a crush on Sara for the longest time before it seemed like he threw her a bone in last night's episode, discussing her thing with Ecklie? Sparks seemd to fly, man. I think Greg and Sara could work, just as I think Grissom and Sofia could work. Once again, I ask that people not bite my head off. I was invested in Grissom/Sara as much as anyone, but if she made it clear that they would never work (and especially after Grissom had numerous chances to assent to it), they both had to move on.

Apologies if this has been asked before. Basically, on the UK DVD of Season One (not sure if and what it's on elsewhere), for the opening and closing credits they don't use Who Are You, but a different track. I'm just wondering if anyone happens to know what this track is, whether it's just score or if it's an actual song, because it doesn't seem to be credited anywhere.
