I have been watching old CSI episodes from the first half of season one, theres the whole Grissom/Sara thing going on and it's so cute! I think it's my OTP. But what I have been noticing the OTPs never ever seem to work in the show. They only work in fanfiction. And your imagination of course. It's the same with other shows/movies/novels. Which kind of means the Grissom/Sara romance thing is doomed. Which is sad, for me. But then Grissom can go work things out with Lady Heather, and Sara can go out with Nick. I am a problem solver! Except not in real life. And I saw that quote where Sara asks Grissom to sleep with her, and I finally understand the meaning of "empathy", thus the entire quote. It just needed to be in context!
Sara Sidle: Do you want to sleep with me?
Gil Grissom: Did you just say what I think you said?
Sara Sidle: That way when I wake up in the middle of the night, in a cold sweat, you can tell me it's nothing, it's just empathy.
In one episode, I think it was "Sex Lies and Larvae" (first half of season one), Grissom asked Sara for some of the beef jerky she's always eating. And I remember an episode from the first half of season two, where Sara wants to leave the CSI lab for a year or something, and Grissom can't understand why, and she's saying that he doesn't really pay attention or anything, and tells him that she's a vegetarian and he didn't know that. You don't eat beef jerky if you're a vegetarian, do you?
Sara has invaded my thoughts far too much for my liking.
Please don't comment if you don't like the Sara/Grissom pairing, and wish to diss it-maybe it's not what you like, but please, don't tell others (me) what to think. "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all!"
