USA Today has printed an long article (even for their standards) detailing the purported "CSI Effect" that has swept the nation's courtrooms. Seems that jury selection has been narrowed down to people who watch and know the intricate specifics of CSI and its spinoffs because defense attorneys can use that to help their clients' cases. Prosecutors will often try to debunk the belief that the DNA evidence gathering techniques are as successful as portrayed on the shows. Read of it what you will but I find the article fascinating...
