HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - Kim Delaney (news) is exiting CBS' hit new drama "CSI: Miami" in an unexpected twist worthy of one of the show's episodes.
The last episode featuring the actress in the role of Megan Donner has been shot and will air on CBS Nov. 25.
While "CSI: Miami" has earned boffo ratings, Delaney's character apparently was not clicking with the rest of the ensemble. Numerous print critics also noted Delaney's character seemed to have little to do on many episodes.
Delaney, who shot 10 episodes, was added to the series' cast after the pilot aired as a special episode of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" last May. Amid much hype, she came on board after her ABC drama "Philly" was canceled.
( The plan was for Delaney... )
